Episode (94)
Allah Almighty says; {Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and then We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe?} [Al-Anbya: 30]. He also says: {And it is He who has created from water [i.e., semen] a human being and made him [a relative by] lineage and marriage. And ever is your Lord competent [concerning creation].} [Al-Furqan: 54]. Additionally, He states: {Allah has created every [living] creature from water. And of them are those that move on their bellies, and of them are those that walk on two legs, and of them are those that walk on four. Allah creates what He wills. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.} [An-Nur: 45]. Furthermore, Allah Almighty says: {Then He made his posterity out of the extract of a liquid disdained.} [As-Sajdah: 8], and; {Did We not create you from a liquid disdained?} [Al-Mursalat: 20]. He also says; {So let man observe from what he was created. (5) He was created from a fluid, ejected, (6) Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. (7)} [At-Tariq: 5-7].
These verses indicate that Adam was created from water, just as every living thing and every creature that moves on the earth was created from water. The verse from Surah Al-Furqan specifically denotes that humans were created from water. The subsequent verses clarify that the offspring of Adam and Eve were created from a despised water, which refers to the male sperm. However, the initial truth is that all creatures, including humans, were created from water, which constitutes more than 70% of the human body. Thus, Adam was created from clay mixed with water to form the primary material from which he was made—soil. The description of the clay from which Adam was created, along with the stages it underwent to emerge as the most significant and best creation in the universe, is detailed in the Holy Quran, as we will see, Allah willing.
