Episode (89)
Allah prepared Adam for the Earth even before he descended to it. Since life on this new planet, Earth, necessitated an understanding of its conditions, its history, how to interact with it, and methods of living, eating, drinking, farming, working, cooking, and striving on the Earth to sustain human life and fulfill the principle of succession and cultivation within it, Allah Almighty equipped Adam with all of this. The first step in this preparation was teaching him the names of all things, as mentioned in the verse: {And He taught Adam the names - all of them. Then He showed them to the angels and said, "Inform Me of the names of these, if you are truthful."} [Al-Baqarah: 31].
Included in this are the names of things and creatures, as well as the names of actions such as standing, sitting, movement, stillness, and others. This was a clear indication that Adam was entrusted with the cultivation and habitation of the Earth. Ibn Kathir's interpretation mentions that Abu Musa said: "When Allah descended Adam from Paradise to the Earth, He taught him the craft of everything and provided him with fruits from Paradise, saying, 'These fruits of yours are from the fruits of Paradise, except that these change, while those do not change.'"
Indeed, Adam (peace be upon him) is the origin of humanity, from whom Allah dispersed people throughout the Earth. His descendants multiplied and spread, as He said: {O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.} [An-Nisa: 1]. From both Adam and Eve, many men and women were produced and scattered across the corners of the world, with different types, tongues, colors, and languages, and ultimately, everyone will return to Him for resurrection and gathering. This affirms the reality of human existence on Earth, in contrast to the falsehoods propagated by atheistic Western theories that deny this beginning and stem from a materialistic view of the universe and the fallacy of chance, which is practically and realistically contradictory to reason and human nature, particularly the Darwinian theory that posits a forced and contradictory sequence of creation.
Those who claim that creation happened by chance and continues to happen by chance are ignorant of the essence of science and the core of faith. What kind of chance possesses the ability to create an egg from a woman's ovary that descends to the womb at a time known only to Allah?
Then, fertilization occurs from a sperm cell created by Allah among millions of sperm cells in the pouch carrying these sperm within the male reproductive system. This leads to fertilization and the formation of a zygote, followed by a fetus, and then the creation of a human being, who is born as either a male or female, and subsequently becomes part of nations and tribes. Therefore, it cannot be by chance, as chance has no system. In terms of human creation, there is a wise system established by a capable Creator, who has predetermined for every creation a time, place, and purpose. He creates with guidance and precision. The material statistics serve as evidence of faith in Allah, for the population is increasing. If we were to examine the population count from the previous century, we would find it much smaller than it is today. Looking back over more than a century would show an even lower count. If we continued to measure the population against past times, we would inevitably reach Adam and Eve, confirming the truth of His statement: {And of all things We created two mates [i.e., counterparts]; perhaps you will remember.} [Adh-Dhariyat: 49]. This pertains to the creation of Adam and Eve.
